Variant:
It refers to the books that are different in one or more features with the other books of the same impression.

Vellum:
A thin sheet of specially prepared skin of calf, lamb, or kid used for writing or printing, or for the cover.

 

Verso:
The left hand page of a book is called the reverse. It is the back side of a leaf and it is also called as reverse.

 

Volume (vol):
A single book in a series (ie volume five of six).
